the contest

Miss Olamma Africa Pageant is an online voting contest that culminates into a grand finale amidst a high-quality audience, the media and stakeholders across Nigeria. Each contestant registers with her picture and generates a unique personal link to her page. She gets voted for through the link.

The contest is in two stages.

Contestants are Igbo ladies between 18-30 years of age. Contestants can either live within Nigeria or any part of the world. Any contestant living outside Nigeria must ensure physical presence at the grand finale as no representative will be permitted.

Voting is done in two ways. 50% of your votes are generated from online clicks while the remaining 50% is generated from ticket sales. First 2 weeks of every voting stage will be ticket sales (which amounts to 50%) while the last 2 weeks will be online votes (which also amounts to 50%) each voting stage lasts for 4 weeks.

Ticket Sales

Contestants are required to sell just 1 VIP ticket of #10,000 naira per stage which guarantees your 50% votes. This means a total of 2 tickets for the entire competition. Any ticket sold gives the buyer access to the grand finale

Same process is repeated in stage 2. At stage 2, after your ticket sale is locked in, the winner will be determined by the amount of vote generated online, physical presence at the grand finale, and panel of judges’ decision and the grand finale.

Enugu is called the ‘Coal City’ State. This is because of the extraordinarily large and untapped deposit of coal in the belle of its earth. In the 1950s before oil/gas, the Nigerian nation depended on coal to run the economy. Coal miners were the heroes on whose backs the engine of the economy ran. They engineered innovations that powered electricity, rail transportation, coke production, cement production, etc.

Decades after, as the world evolved, Enugu has also evolved with individuals whose business empires, political leadership, humanitarian endeavors, academic legacies, innovations and share force of will, is helping shape the future and destiny of Ndi Igbo and the Nigerian nation.

The Coal City State will be hosting the maiden grand finale of Miss Olamma Africa Pageant
